You will not be able to earn your degree in your pajamas
You will not be able to order toilet paper from Instacart
You will not be able to Door Dash or Postmate or Uber Eat
Or update your Facebook profile, Snapchat Map or WhatsApp because
The revolution is not on your phone

The revolution will not be brought to you
By targeted Instagram ads for cheap sundresses
Or fraudulent Go Fund Me appeals
Or you shaking your ass on Tik Tok
The revolution is not on your phone

The revolution does not star
Social media influencers
Or a fight with Jake Paul or Logan Paul
Or any of the Kardashians
The revolution is not on your phone

The revolution does not promote podcasts, blogs, YouTube videos or Instastories
There are no recipes for feta pasta, double chocolate chip cookies or the perfect sourdough loaf
There are no Zoom happy hours, FaceTime calls with Grandma or virtual sing-a-longs
You will not learn how to perfect a smoky eye, bake a soufflé or master the guitar
No one will care about your psoriasis, restless leg syndrome or high blood pressure

The revolution does not promise you
A boyfriend, flat abs, or a million dollar content creation machine
The revolution will not give you sex appeal, a conscience or a soul
There is no toxic environment, cancel culture or #movement
The revolution is not streaming on Disney+, Hulu, Peacock or Netflix

There will be no Match.com happily ever afters
Or Bumble hook-ups or Tinder sex or Grinder grindings
No E-Harmony marriages or Farmers Only.com love stories
There are no mystery flavors of Doritos, Oreos, M&Ms or La Croix
The revolution is not on your phone

There will be no videos of murders by those who should protect and serve
Or people asleep in their own houses in their own beds and shot anyway
Or probable cause stops for air fresheners dangling from rear view mirrors
Or killings for expired tags or uninsured cars or broken tail lights
The revolution is not on your phone

The revolution is not on your phone

The revolution is in the courthouse and at the kitchen table
The revolution is voting rights, and vigils and volunteers
The revolution is in the classroom, the boardroom and the back room
The revolution is on the trading floor and behind all of our closed doors

The revolution is here
The revolution is change
The revolution is ready
